The Town Board is the elected body that governs the Town of Deerpark consisting of a Supervisor and four Councilmen. The Town Board is the legislative branch of local government and has responsibility for budget and establishing local laws and ordinances.

- Bio: Christa Hoovler has long been active in the community, primarily through the schools and youth activities. As a school counselor, former classroom teacher and drug and alcohol prevention educator, Christa has brought her professional skills to her volunteer work. She was named Port Jervis High School Volunteer of the Year (2014) for her work as advisor of the Friends of Rachel Club, former member of the Board of Directors for Cornerstone Family Healthcare, former PTA President of both ASK and PJMS, and former member of Deerpark’s Zoning Board of Appeals and Board of Assessment Review. Christa is an active member and deacon at Goodwill Church in Port Jervis. She and her husband David raised three children in Deerpark, which she considers her best achievement. Christa earned her master’s degree from Johns Hopkins University and her bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland.

Rob retired from Orange County Correctional Facility in 2015 after 25 years of service.
He is currently the business owner of Whitney Landscaping in the Town of Deerpark.
Rob served 9 years as a member of the Deerpark Planning Board.
He enjoys Hunting, Hiking, and spending time with his family.
He is also a member of Grace Community Church.

- Bio: Alan Schock first became a member of the Deerpark Planning Board in 2010. He very quickly rose to become Chairman of the board. When Karl Brabenec was elected New York State Assemblyman and Gary Spears was appointed to fill the last year of his remaining term, a seat opened on the Deerpark Town Board. Alan was appointed to fill that seat and handily won a special election in 2015. Alan is a proud member of the NRA and believes that the Constitution should be interpreted as written and not as a “living document” and believes it is second only in authority to the bible.
Alan was born and raised in the Town of Deerpark. He attended Port Jervis High School, where he graduated in 1978. He attended Orange County Community College and later went to the University of Lynchburg in Virginia. He has been the owner and president of Peenpack, Inc., a family owned concrete business in Deerpark, for over 30 years.
Alan has been a member of the Calvary Bible Church for most of his life and currently serves as Deacon. He enjoys many activities in the town, especially coaching little league for his son Aiden.
He is married to Lori Schock and has six children.
