For Immediate Release – August 5, 2011
(HUGUENOT, NY) – The Town of Deerpark has been hosting a 9/11 remembrance service since 2002, and throughout the years, various businesses and organizations have made donations for the service, whether it be food, water, in-kind services, or monetary donations.
One of our tributes is to active-duty military. The Deerpark Town Hall, the 9/11 Memorial and the 9/11 Memorial Tree are decorated with yellow ribbons and red, white and blue ribbons. .
Anyone who would like to help offset the cost of these ribbons can send a donation to Laurel Grove Greenhouse, 16 High St., Port Jervis, NY 12771, and indicate that it is a donation for Deerpark’s 9/11 service.
The town is also seeking donations to place a security camera for the 9/11 Memorial and for food and drink for this year’s ceremony. Donations can be made to the Deerpark 9/11 Memorial Fund, and sent to Deerpark Town Hall, c/o Florence Santini, Town Clerk, PO Box 621, Huguenot, NY 12746. Mrs. Santini can be contacted for any information or questions at 845-856-2210, ext. 1.
