Please Be advised that on August 1st, 2018, I received Notice that a Racoon, That I had sent to the State labs In Albany for testing, Come back POSITIVE for Rabies.
I wanted to remind the Deerpark Citizens of a few thing. Avoid contact with wild Animals. Do not feed your pets out side in the open. If you observe a Wild Animal that is acting Strange or Aggressive, Call the Deerpark Police Non-Emergency # (845) 856-4333, Or the DCO at (845) 321-7172. Do not approach the animal. Try to keep track of it’s location, if you can do this from a safe distance. Please be sure to speak to your children about this Issue.
